Narcotics Possession: Oct. 21, 8:10 p.m., 3400 Block of California Street

A report came in to dispatch concerning a man unconscious in a car. When officers arrived, they opened the car door, waking the man, who had a syringe in his lap.

An ambulance was summoned to transport the man to a hospital for treatment. A search revealed a large amount of narcotics in the vehicle.

Bank Robbery: Oct. 18, 11:22 a.m., 400 Block of Clement Street

A man entered a bank armed with a handgun and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied and the suspect, described between 50 and 55 years old and wearing sunglasses and hat, fled the bank.

Carjacking: Oct. 18, 7:43 a.m., 800 Block of 47th Avenue

A woman was backing her car out of the driveway when an unknown suspect, a male between the ages of 35-40, opened the driver's side door and sprayed the victim with pepper spray.

The woman jumped out of the car and the suspect fled in the vehicle. An ambulance was called to treat the victim.

Trespassing: Oct. 14, 1:03 a.m., 6200 Block of Geary Boulevard

A caller saw a man sitting in an office that had been ransacked. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 24-year-old male sitting in a chair.

After knocking on the door, the suspect answered and was detained. He said he was homeless and looking for a place to sleep when he happened upon the unlocked office. He was cited and released.

At 5:23 a.m., the suspect started fighting with employees at a store a block away and was arrested for aggravated assault, robbery and vandalism.

Threats and Battery to a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest: Oct. 12, 8:55 p.m., 41st Avenue and Balboa Street

Officers responded to a call of an assault in progress. The first officer arrived on the scene and the victim pointed out the male suspect, who was screaming and flailing his arms as the officer approached. The suspect's girlfriend tried to restrain him, but he attacked and tackled the officer, with both falling to the ground. The officer was able to place the suspect into handcuffs and several other officers arrived on scene to assist.

The girlfriend said the suspect had consumed a "weed brownie" and shortly thereafter began acting "weird and agitated." The suspect ran out of his home and jumped onto the back of a passerby, who called the police.

The 25-year-old suspect was arrested

Vandalism: Oct. 11, 1:30 a.m., 32nd Avenue and Clement Street

Officers on patrol noticed a man defacing a billboard. When they approached, the 23-year-old suspect threw down his marker and tried to run away.

He was caught by officers and detained while officers looked for, and found, other markings from the suspect.

The man was transported to Richmond Station and booked.

Possession of Stolen Property, Narcotics and Parole Violations: Oct. 11, 5:35 p.m., Golden Gate Park

Plainclothes officers were in the area of the Academy of Sciences regarding a call of a possible auto burglary suspect when they located the suspect. They conducted surveillance as the suspect walked through the park looking into parked vehicles.

After he left the park, he continued to look into vehicles in the area of Lincoln Way, Irving and Judah streets.

The officers finally detained the suspect at Second Avenue and Lincoln Way and found a GPS in the suspect's possession. Through a search of the GPS's memory, they were able to locate the owner, who said earlier in the day his car had been broken into and his GPS taken.

The suspect, a 33 year old male who is on parole, was charged with numerous crimes.

Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, Burglary, Theft of Animals: Oct. 10, 2:45 p.m., 3200 Block of Geary Boulevard

Plainclothes officers were conducting an investigation regarding the use of a stolen credit card to purchase six Maltese puppies. When the suspect returned to the store to pick up certification papers for the animals, he was taken into custody.

The suspect told the officers that he did purchase the dogs, and then sold them to other unknown parties. The 31-year-old male was booked.

Robbery: Oct. 6, 1:53 p.m., Golden Gate Park

A woman was sitting on the grass near the M.H. de Young Memorial Museum reading a book when an unknown assailant grabbed her backpack and escaped in a Subaru station wagon.

Witnesses heard the woman's pleas for help and ran after the vehicle, but the doors were locked and they were unable to apprehend the suspect before he sped off.
