Possession of Narcotics: May 17, 2:53 a.m., Lincoln Park
A call about a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot near a museum came in from dispatch.

Officers responding to the scene discovered two people in a vehicle that fit the description from the caller. When the officers asked the 33-year-old male driver to exit the vehicle, he stepped out and his pants fell down. When he bent down to pick them up, a small baggie fell out of his pocket. The man kicked it under the vehicle in an attempt to conceal it, but one of the officers noticed the action and retrieved the baggie, which contained suspected methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle revealed other suspected drugs.

The suspect was transported to the police station and booked.

Assault: May 27, 7:50 a.m.,Park Presidio Boulevard and Fulton Street
A woman was walking when a homeless man, for no apparent reason, grabbed her and threw her to the ground before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as being "dirty" and wearing green clothing. The victim planned to seek medical treatment from her physician.

Auto Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, Probation Violation: May 11, 1:22 p.m.,Golden Gate Park
A couple from Germany returned to their rented vehicle and discovered someone breaking into it. One of them called in a burglary-in-progress at Martin Luther King Jr. and Teagarden drives. The witness also reported the suspect's escape route.

Officers responding to the scene found the suspect on Lincoln Way. He was in possession of a G.P.S. device and charger.

The victims positively identified the 33-year-old suspect and he was taken to jail for booking.

Suspicious Box: May 21, 3 a.m., Fifth Avenue and Geary Boulevard
Police officers cordoned off the area near a suspicious box that was discovered after the bars in the area had closed.

The bomb squad was called in to investigate and determined the box was not a threat. A search for the owner of the box is ongoing as there were no discernable names or addresses on the outside.

Outstanding Warrant: May 20, 11:27 a.m., 25th Avenue and Geary Boulevard
A Muni bus driver flagged down a passing police cruiser and told the officers that one of his passengers was "tagging."

When the officers contacted the suspect, it was determined that he had an outstanding warrant for a narcotics violation.

Attempted Burglary: May 27, 5:43 a.m., 800 Block of 37th Avenue
A man was in the garage of his home preparing to go to work when he heard the glass on a tradesman's door that enters the garage breaking.

The resident walked over to see what was happening and discovered the suspect's hand inside the house trying to unlock the door. When the suspect, described as a male in his 20s dressed in black and riding a skateboard, saw the homeowner, he fled.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: May 9, 10:50 p.m., 30th Avenue and Fulton Street
A man was walking to his parked car when he noticed a dark-colored luxury sedan parked behind his vehicle. As the man was unlocking his door, the sedan pulled up alongside him and he noticed a man standing next to him with a gun.

The victim swung his hand to push the gun away when the suspect fired a shot, hitting the victim in the hand. The suspect jumped into the sedan and fled eastbound on Fulton.

Assault: May 9, midnight, 20th Avenue and Clement Street
A man was walking when he noticed three men standing near a parked vehicle. As he passed, they attacked and knocked him to the ground.

The suspects rifled through the victim's pockets but there was nothing to be had.

The suspects fled northbound on 20th Avenue.

Outstanding Warrants, Attempted Fraud: May 26, 2:30 p.m., 3700 Block of Geary Boulevard
A merchant called police to report a person trying to use a stolen credit card to make a purchase. Officers arrived and detained the suspect, but the credit card could not be located. A computer search revealed the 39-year-old female suspect was wanted on several outstanding court warrants.

She was transported to Richmond Station and booked.

Robbery: May 3, 3:30 p.m., 32nd Avenue and Geary Boulevard
A woman was jogging when she heard footsteps behind her. As the suspect approached the woman, he tried to take her iPod. When the woman refused to let go, the suspect punched the woman. The victim let go and the suspect fled to a waiting black SUV.

Burglary: May 22, 10:30 p.m., 500 Block of Euclid Avenue
A man was downstairs in his home alone when he heard the front door open and footsteps. He thought it was his wife coming home so he did not investigate. When he went upstairs, he discovered a computer and cameras missing from the kitchen.
