Removing Park Trees, Wood, Etc.: April 25, Golden Gate Park
A horse-mounted police officer saw the suspect walking out of the woods in Golden Gate Park, near Chain of Lakes Drive, carrying tree limbs. The suspect had been arrested before for breaking tree limbs in the park.

"I can do whatever I want," the suspect said.

The 56-year-old suspect was charged for violating the city's park codes.

Pedestrian Killed: April 22, 5:51 p.m., 20th Avenue and Winston Drive
A woman was killed near a shopping mall when she was struck by a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Suspected Burglary: April 19, Golden Gate Park
A woman checked her coat in at an event in Golden Gate Park. When she went to retrieve it, the coat check was closed.
The next day, the woman went back to the site of the event but the coat, valued at $12,000, was gone.

Attempted Burglary: April 18, 3:25 p.m., 1500 Block of Lincoln Way
A woman returned to her vehicle and discovered the suspect inside, rifling through her belongings.

The victim yelled at the suspect, who dropped the items he stealing and fled on a bicycle.

Drunk Driving Arrest: April 18, 1:52 a.m., 32nd Avenue and Ortega Street

Officers on patrol witnessed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign so they pulled the driver over.

The driver was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested.

Warrant Violation: April 17, 5:08 a.m., Golden Gate Park
Officers noticed a man sleeping on a dirt pathway near Fulton Street and La Playa. They awoke the man and discovered he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a parole violation.

The 28-year-old man was booked for the outstanding warrant.

Aggravated Assault: April 15, 9:10 a.m., 1200 Block of 19th Avenue

A man who was walking stopped at a red light when a man pushing a shopping cart threatened him. The suspect then swung an ax at the victim, missing him.

Numerous officers arrived at the scene but were unable to locate the suspect. They did, however, find his shopping cart.

Death on the Street: Reported April 14, 5:15 p.m., 2100 Block of 29th Avenue
A call came in to dispatch concerning a man lying in the street. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a man who was unresponsive and not breathing.

Paramedics performed CPR and transported the man to the hospital, where he was declared diseased.

Robbery: April 13, 5:30 p.m., 3200 Block of 20th Avenue
A store security guard witnessed three suspects taking merchandise and leaving the premises without paying and chased them to a vehicle. When the suspects sped off, they hit the guard with the vehicle and sprayed a chemical agent in his face.

The investigation is ongoing.

Residential Burglary: April 12, 1:54 p.m., 1400 Block of 41st Avenue
A man was alerted by his alarm company that there had been a security breach at his house.

The man returned home and discovered his front gate open. Police officers arrived at the scene and did a walk-through of the premises to make sure the suspect(s) was not there.

A lap-top computer was discovered missing.

Theft by Trick: April 4, Ninth Avenue and Irving Street
A woman was approached by two con-women who said they needed help cashing two checks. The victim deposited the checks into her account and gave the women $9,000.

It was discovered later that the checks were no good.

Battery, Public Drunkeness: April 4, 7:55 p.m., 700 Block of Irving Street
A man who was intoxicated accused a man in a store of taking his personal belongings and hit him. The victim was not injured by the blow and called police.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.
