Robbery: March 28, 6 p.m., 26th Avenue and Rivera Street
A woman was walking down the street listening to music from her cell phone when an unknown suspect grabbed the cord to the headphones, causing the phone to fall to the ground. The suspect grabbed the phone and fled to a waiting vehicle, which contained several other males.
Vandalism, Trespassing: March 28, 1:50 a.m., 1500 Block of 44th Avenue
A man was home when the suspect kicked open the front gate of his residence and entered the home. When the suspect saw the victim, he demanded drugs, saying he had bought drugs there before.
The suspect was arrested and charged.
Hot Prowl Burglary: March 28, Between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., 1400 Block of 34th Avenue
A man stepped out to run an errand and returned to his home to discover someone had entered the premises and burglarized his home by forcing open the front gate.
The victim's three daughters were sleeping when the crime occurred.
Robbery: March 28, 10:47 a.m., 1500 Block of Kirkham Street
An officer responded to a report of an injury accident and discovered a woman lying in the street. She was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment for life threatening injuries.
At the hospital, the woman told officers that she was robbed and knocked to the ground when the perpetrators fled in a waiting vehicle.
Public Drunkeness: March 27, 7:27 a.m., 1200 Block of Ninth Avenue
Reports came in to dispatch concerning a drunk man yelling at passersby. When officers approached the man, he became belligerent and used racial slurs against them.
The suspect was arrested and booked.
Burglary: March 23, Between 9 a.m. and Noon, 3300 Block of Vicente Street
A woman returned home and discovered her front door had been forced open and home burglarized. The suspect entered the garage as well and took the woman's vehicle.
Suspicious Act: March 22, 11:30 a.m., 1300 Block of Ocean Avenue
A 71-year-old man reportedly touched a 20-year-old woman in an inappropriate way, but he denied it upon being interviewed.
The woman said the man asked her to be his wife and gave her a hug.
Warrant Arrest: March 19, 8:25 a.m., 4300 Block of Judah Street
Police dispatch was notified that two people were sleeping in a residential driveway.
When officers arrived at the scene, they determined that one of the trespassing snoozers was wanted on an outstanding $30,000 warrant for resisting arrest.
He was arrested and the other camper was admonished.
Evading a Police Officer: March 16, 4:22 a.m., 18th Avenue and Kirkham Street
Officers on patrol noticed a vehicle speeding and running red lights. They tried to stop the vehicle but quit after it sped away from them.
Later, the officers assisted Daly City police as they tried to pull over a speeding, law-breaking driver.
Daly City officers stopped the vehicle on 18th Avenue and the driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded. Taraval officers recognized the driver and the vehicle from the earlier encounter in the district.
Outstanding Warrant: March 6, Golden Gate Park
Officers on horseback discovered a homeless encampment with eight people sleeping on tarps spread out across the ground. They also had a lit campfire.
One of the homeless campers, a 21-year-old female, had a dog, which lunged at the officers. A computer check revealed the woman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest so she was apprehended.
Investigative Detention: March 1, 6:11 p.m., 2200 Block of Taraval Street
An officer on patrol noticed a man banging on an ATM machine inside a business. The man refused to answer the officer's questions and became agitated.
The officer handcuffed the suspect for his safety. After the suspect calmed down, he told the officer that he was upset over a phone call he had received and was venting his anger.
There was no damage to the ATM machine so the suspect was released.
Bank Robbery: Feb. 28, 11 a.m., 700 Block of Irving Street
A man entered a bank and robbed a teller before fleeing the scene. Responding officers did not find the suspect.
